Greetings from northeast Indiana.
Some in our part of the country have experienced absolute devastation in the past few days. Our thoughts and prayers are with all who are recovering from the flooding. As far as I know, none of our schools or associated churches have been damaged, but some of the school staff have suffered great losses. If you have information about schools that have flooded, please let me know. I want to check in and help wherever possible.
It has been my privilege to be involved with multiple supervisors’ trainings this summer. As we have recited the Scripture memory passage for these trainings, I have been reminded of the importance of what you are doing. Our responsibility, as Christian educators, is to come alongside the parents to prepare their children for life and eternity. In Deuteronomy 6:7 we are told, about the truths of the Bible, “And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.” What an honor it is to be a part of training and molding the next generations according to the Word of God. Thank you for your faithfulness to do this…some of you for many years. God is keeping record, and your reward will be great.
I am happy to have three wonderful Field Consultants (formerly Assistant Representatives) working with me this year. Two of them have been doing this for several years, and one is brand new to the position. Bro. Nathaniel Mathis (acenmathis@gmail.com) will be visiting schools in central and southern Illinois. Bro. Bruce Jahnke (acejahnke@gmail.com) will, again, be assisting in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Bro. Evan Burley (aceeburley@gmail.com) is joining the team and will be helping with school visits in Ohio (and possibly Michigan and Indiana). Please make these men welcome when they contact you about school visits. Our purpose in stopping by your school is threefold: We want to be a blessing and help to you, providing prayer support and advice if you are facing difficulty; we need to collect the information about your school that, as part of your agreement with ACE, is needed for demographic information about our schools; and we want to provide suggestions and assistance, where requested, as you endeavor to make your school even better than it has been.
I am very happy to tell you that the annual School Information Form has been simplified and shortened. The information that is needed for determining Quality Status and Model School is no longer part of this form. As you are aware, the process of applying for these status levels has changed. You will receive a separate form directly from ACE that must be completed in order to be considered for status, so it will only need to be submitted if you wish to apply. The information form will take considerably less time than it has in the past. I am telling you this because you will receive an email in the near future, either from me or one of the Field Consultants, with a link to the School Information Form. Please, please, please do not overlook this email. We need you to complete the form as soon as conveniently possible, please. This gives us important information about your school schedule and days off which is very helpful as we plan our school visit trips. We need to be good stewards of the resources God has provided, and having these details makes our planning so much more efficient.
We are very excited about the upcoming Christian Educators’ Conventions! There will be one near you, so please plan to join us. The four in my territory are as follows:
September 14, 2026
St. Paul Park, Minnesota
September 16, 2026
Zion, Illinois
September 21, 2016
Indianapolis, Indiana
September 23, 2026
Pittsford, Michigan
Information regarding all the CEC sites and registration can be found at www.aceschooloftomorrow.com/cec. Please note that you may attend CEC at any location; you are not limited to our geographic area. Whatever works best for your situation is fine. These conventions are one-day, 9:00-4:00. Registration opens at 8:30. Lunch will be provided on-site, and we will wrap up exactly at 4:00. The hope is that all of our schools can travel in and back home the same day, avoiding hotel stays—unless you wish to travel to a more distant site and stay with family, combine with a vacation, or whatever works for you. This convention will be geared for all of your school staff.
We also hope your leadership team will attend the Educational Leadership Summit. This is November 3-4, 2026, in Hampton, Virginia. Information and registration for this can be found at www.aceschooloftomorrow.com/els-global. Remember that if your school earned Quality Status or Model School this past school year, ACE will give you a check for $1,000 if you attend the ELS ($500 if only one person from your school attends). If you have questions about either CEC or ELS, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I am happy to do my best to help.
I will be starting school visits this next week in Michigan, as I will be in the northern part of the state for another event and want to be in as many schools as possible this year. My plan is to head west soon to visit the schools in Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota where I was unable to go last year. Please pray for safe travels, for one another as school is beginning across the region, and especially for several new schools that have come on board this year. Together we are making a difference in the lives of children, for life and for eternity. Thank you, again, for the investment you are making in this regard.
I am here to serve you. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to be of assistance. May you sense the near Presence and leadership of the Lord as you are completing the preparations and beginning a new school year.
Blessings,
Harrold E. Taylor, M.Ed.
Ministry Representative
ACE School of Tomorrow
PS: In preparation for completing the information form, I would encourage you to pull the two numbers you will need so you have them ready when we need your form completed. In SMS, go to “Reports” (left column). Usually the last report that shows on the screen, without scrolling, is the “Field Representative Report.” This is what we need. Be sure the school year is set to be 2025-26. If you had students who were not with you all of last year (late enrollment, withdrew, or graduated and had fewer than 60 PACEs to complete), please de-select them for the report. Once the report has generated, you can print a copy for your records. The numbers we need are the average number of PACEs completed and the average PACE Test score. Thank you for preparing this information in advance.
